Rainbow Terra tree guards – tubes and stakes

These easy-to-use, plastic-free tree protection tubes help protect your young trees from being eaten by mammals such as deer and rabbits, and come with wooden stakes to support the sapling.

These rigid cylinders are easy to install and are best used with slim, young trees, where they provide excellent protection from wind while also allowing the right amount of light to reach the saplings. Both the tubes and stakes are ideal for use with our tree packs and mixes, with the 120cm tubes coming in packs of 4, 15 and 60, and the 60cm tubes available in packs of 4, 15 and 120.

Each tube is made from recycled plant resin and natural wood residue from the UK and is 100% biodegradable within an average of five years.

  • Certified 100% biodegradable, according to strict ISO standards.
  • Free from PFAs and microplastics.
  • Biodegradable cable ties.

Available sizes:

120cm long. Each tube comes with a 130cm stake.

60cm long. Each tube comes with a 75cm stake.

Delivery information:

Free delivery is available on this tree accessory item, but please allow up to 7-10 days for your delivery to arrive.

Please note: If your order contains a mix of product types (e.g. trees, tree protection items, merchandise or subsidised packs), items may be delivered separately. This means your order may arrive in more than one delivery.

How to use:  

Step one: Plant the sapling and place the tube over it, gently pushing the base into the ground. 

Step two: Slide the stake down through the cable ties and hammer it into the ground alongside the tube. 

Step three: Pull the cable ties tight around the stake to make the whole guard secure. 

Please note: these tubes are fragile so need to be handled with care. As they’re plastic free, they’re made with innovative materials and are new to market. This means that long-term testing is limited, and we can take no responsibility for breakages due to mishandling.
