To help prevent the spread of the tree disease Dothistroma needle blight we have removed Scots pine from our tree shop.
It was originally thought that Scots pine was less susceptible to the fungus Dothistroma septosporum, which causes needle blight, than other conifers.
Unfortunately the disease does now seem to be spreading to Scots pine, which has serious implications, particularly for the native Caledonian pinewoods of Scotland.
